Week THREE

Yesterday made week 3.. and guess what? STILL IN LOVE! I'm starting to notice more changes in my hair.. more shrinkage, bunching towards the roots and they are getting frizzy! Also, loose hairs! Are all these changes normal?

Hey folks: I was playing in my hair this evening and noticed that most of my locks are hard like I put spritz on them. Im guessing its a part of the maturing process? I am also noticing more of a coil at the ends of my locks, especially after my wash on Saturday... just wanted to share that bit of information. Still in love! =)

Week Two

Yesterday marked two weeks! Still in love! Before going to my follow-up on Saturday, I stopped to get gas and ran into a Sisterlocker! She said she's had hers for 2 years now and she loves them! which wasn't surprising to me because I love mine. She also said that she liked how small mine were and that she was excited to see younger women, like myself, transitioning to Sisterlocks, it gave me this warm feeling inside lol..

At my follow-up, I finally got a wash, THANK YOU! whew! She gave me tips on how to relieve the itching without doing too much before my 1st re tightening. The coils at the ends of my hair are more noticeable now. I didn't have too much slippage but the slippage that I did have was along the edges of my hair, which I knew would happen because the front of my hair was kind of straight, I guess from wearing pony tails and things when going natural. I will probably have to make in between edge tightening just to keep it under control. My 1st re tightening will be May 23! Can't wait to learn how to wash my own hair! IM IN LOVE WITH MY HAIR!
