A New Year

It's been over a month since I have blogged. Shame on me! lol.. I've had one re-tighten since the last time I was here, a couple days before Christmas. 8 months have passed already...and I'm seeing more change in my hair. The roots are a lot thicker and so are my sisterlocks. It really looks like I have taken a comb and teased my hair. I'm guessing that is what it is suppose to do??! I have about 4inches of thickness from the root doing down and the rest is kind of straight with curly ends. Some are locking, mostly in the back. It's also very frizzy looking at times...I have a lot of loose hairs. Still on a 4 week re-ti, using my Sisterlock shampoo & IC shampoo, and also, still braiding and banding...Overall I'm still loving my hair and I get a lot of compliments on them especially when I do lil simple styles. 7months

Hiya! Thanksgiving Day will mark my 7th month of having my lovely Sisterlocks! All I can do is smile! Time is definitely flying right on by! before I know it, it'll be a year! I can see some growth in my hair now, not much b/c it still shrinks a lot but it is noticeable. I took pictures of my hair the other night before I went to sleep so I look really tired lol....In love with my hair more now, than before, I have some of the thickness I hoped I would get. My loctician said that my hair would more than likely stay curly at the ends verses closing which I have no problem with. I love my lil curly q's lol.... Going to cut this short b/c I should be working right now lol....Until next time folks!

HELLO!!

Didn't even notice I haven't been on here in a month, WOW! lol... just been so busy with working and doing things for my Social Club, being the President is a lot of work but I love the positivity we are getting from it! I barely get time to think these days... Just passed 28 weeks!! but I decided not to claim my month until the 25th... the texture of my hair is changing! starting to look more and more like locks everyday =) People are even calling them locks/sisterlocks...instead of "what is that in your hair?" or "lil braids"!! AND I love it!

Tried the bantu knots out last night, not to wear them out but, to get some kind of curl in my hair, it was pretty! Not too tight but noticeable curls, you know what I mean... I didnt get a chance to take a picture b/c i sweated it out lol, but I will do it again 2nite! TTYL lockers!!

Another Re-ti had come to pass!

I got my 5th(i think) re-ti yesterday....and boy was I happy, feels good to look fresh...even though I could really tell how bad my roots looked because I've been rocking straw curls for the last 2 weeks, done with pipe cleaners. They turned out really good and lasted a long time. Think I will start doing those more often with me starting the gym and all this week :) I attended a social club event with my social club(Ladies of C.H.O.I.C.E) a couple weeks ago where I wore my straw curls and a picture of my fresh re-ti, excuse the face I was tired lol....pictures are below...ttyl ! ALMOST 5 months tear* lol

Well, well, well...seems like it was just yesterday when I got my sisterlocks installed thinking about how my hair would look by my birthday in July... that has been here and gone! It's now approaching Fall, the season I love the most! Looking back on my 1st day up to now, I can see some change, the texture, thickness, shrinkage, frizziness, loose hairs, my parts lol... didnt think there was that much change but when you a comparison, it's obvious! I'm in love with everything about my hair! Even been told I can use a little tree oil on my scalp! 5 months without any type of oils... you know how that feels ladies..and gentlemen! lol... going to do my 2nd AVC wash some time this week when I get a chance. Between 2 jobs and my social group, I don't have much time to do anything else but sleep and clean AND see family so I'll get to it. Was suppose to get it done today but of course I'm with family lol...you know how the hours can fly by when having fun :-) I may still do so after I get home 2nite, depends on how I feel (lazy ha ha)... I think I've talked enough, ttygl! it's almost football time!

week 19

Another week has passed :-D Did my 1st LOCKhawk over the weekend and I loved it! Will be adding pictures to this post tomorrow.. I forgot my camera cord lol. I don't think I have been having too many changes but the most noticeable one is the dandruff. My consultant told me it would be okay for me to use a little tree oil at a time so I have to run out and get some..TODAY! Haven't done an ACV wash in a while and maybe that is the reasoning for the pick up of dryness. I think I'll just do one of Friday on my day off. It's time for a wash anyways. I have went back to using my scarf also, was just using the silk pillow case but I have found that with using my scarf I have less fuzziness as the weeks go by in between my re-ti's.
